What is business coaching? And what can it do for your business?

Business coaching has become a common and important practice for business owners who want to advance themselves and their companies. Still, many business leaders don’t truly understand what coaching actually is. In short, business coaching is a collaborative relationship between a business owner and a professional coach, aimed at strategically developing a successful business. A coach’s role—generally, but particularly is to help you design a vision for your business that aligns with your values and goals for your life. With that vision in hand, they provide you with the guidance, support and accountability you need to set and move through your goals, allowing you to take your business from where it is to where you want it to be.

What a business coach can do for your business?                  

Here is the reality facing entrepreneurs in the USA and I believe these statistics are not dissimilar around the world. In the United States, there are over 7.2 million businesses that have enough substance and enough growth to have payroll employees. And, fascinatingly, 98% of these businesses have fewer than 100 full-time employees. We know, from a lot of research that has been done, that out of every 100 independently owned small businesses, about 90% of them will fail within 10 years. Real sad, but true.

The good news is that business coaches reverse this trend. And so, what is a business coach? A business coach is an experienced entrepreneur and business owner themselves that guides a client through the ups and downs of owning and running a business. Business coaches provide business owners with recommendations for growth and determining their company's goals. Overall, the goal of a business coach is to help a business owner grow their business successfully.

So that is what I do. I am a business coach and I’m really passionate about what I do.
